Terms and Conditions
These terms govern your use of the Dr Langa Medical Services website and our medical services. Last updated: May 2026.
1. Introduction and Acceptance
Welcome to the Dr Langa Medical Services website ("the Website"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("the User") and Dr Langa Medical Services ("the Practice"), a private general medical practice operated by Dr Omphemetse Langa, located at 30 Nelson Mandela Road, Era Medical Centre, Room 102, Mahikeng, North West, 2745.
By accessing, browsing, or using this Website, or by booking an appointment or utilising any of our medical services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms in their entirety. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must discontinue use of the Website immediately.
2. Medical Disclaimer
The content published on this Website, including but not limited to text, images, service descriptions, and health-related articles, is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. It does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
The information on this Website should never be used as a substitute for professional medical advice from a qualified and registered healthcare practitioner. Always seek the guidance of Dr Omphemetse Langa or another qualified healthcare provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition, symptoms, medication, or treatment plan.
Never disregard, avoid, or delay obtaining professional medical advice because of information you have read on this Website. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, contact emergency services immediately by dialling 10177 (ambulance) or 112 (from a mobile phone).
3. Services Offered
Dr Langa Medical Services provides a range of primary healthcare services including, but not limited to: chronic and acute illness management, minor surgical procedures, insurance medicals, vaccinations, wound care, sexual health, men's health, flu and throat infections, HIV testing, X-rays and blood tests, skin care, weight loss management, and specialist referrals.
The availability of specific services may vary and is subject to change without prior notice. The Practice reserves the right to decline to provide any service where, in the professional judgement of the attending practitioner, it would not be in the patient's best interest or falls outside the scope of general practice.
4. Appointments and Consultations
Appointments may be made by contacting the Practice via telephone at +27 66 273 0747, via WhatsApp, or through the booking system referenced on this Website. Appointment availability is subject to the Practice's schedule and cannot be guaranteed at all times.
The Practice operates during the following hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 18:00. Walk-in consultations may be accommodated where possible, but pre-booked appointments will take priority.
While the Practice endeavours to see all patients at their scheduled appointment time, delays may occur due to medical emergencies, complex consultations, or unforeseen circumstances. Patients are kindly asked to exercise patience in such instances.
5. Cancellation and No-Show Policy
If you are unable to attend a scheduled appointment, we kindly request that you provide at least 24 hours advance notice so that the time slot may be offered to another patient in need. Notification can be given by telephone or WhatsApp.
Repeated no-shows or late cancellations without reasonable cause may result in the Practice requiring advance payment for future bookings, or in exceptional circumstances, declining further appointments.
6. Fees, Payment, and Medical Aid
All consultation fees and service charges are payable at the time of the appointment unless prior alternative arrangements have been agreed upon. The Practice accepts payment by cash, debit card, credit card, and electronic fund transfer (EFT).
For patients covered by a medical aid scheme, the Practice may submit claims directly on your behalf where applicable. However, the patient remains ultimately responsible for all charges not covered or reimbursed by their medical aid, including co-payments, shortfalls, and services excluded from their plan.
The Practice reserves the right to adjust its fees at any time. Current fee schedules are available upon request at reception.
7. Patient Responsibilities
As a patient, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, complete, and current personal and medical information.
- Inform the Practice of any changes to your medical history, medication, allergies, or contact details.
- Attend appointments on time or provide adequate notice of cancellation.
- Follow prescribed treatment plans and report any adverse reactions promptly.
- Treat all Practice staff with courtesy and respect.
- Settle accounts promptly in accordance with the payment terms outlined above.
8. Patient Records and Confidentiality
All patient medical records are maintained in strict confidence in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA), the National Health Act, 2003, and the ethical guidelines prescribed by the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).
Patient information will not be disclosed to any third party without the patient's explicit written consent, except where disclosure is required by law, court order, or is necessary to protect the life or health of the patient or another person.
